The roots, stems, leaves, flowers, and fruits of seabuckthorn, especially the seabuckthorn fruit, are rich in nutrients and bioactive substances, which can be widely used in many sectors of the national economy, such as food, medicine, light industry, aerospace, agriculture, animal husbandry, fishery, and foreign trade. Due to its strong adaptability and easy-to-master cultivation and management techniques, seabuckthorn has become an important economic plant resource for poverty alleviation in the Loess Plateau in the middle reaches of the Yellow River and the impoverished areas in the west of my country. In particular, in recent years, with the all-round and multi-purpose research and development and utilization of seabuckthorn, it has shown a broad prospect for the development and utilization of seabuckthorn, and has achieved considerable economic benefits.
